Why You Can’t Force Yourself to Be Hypnotized

One of the most common misconceptions about Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT) is that the facilitator somehow makes you go under.
In truth, hypnosis isn’t something that’s done to you — it’s something we create together.

A QHHT session is a collaboration between your conscious mind, your subconscious, and your body’s innate intelligence. It’s a gentle process of deep relaxation and trust, not control or coercion.

Safety Comes Before Surrender

If your body doesn’t feel safe —
if your nervous system is on high alert,
if you tend to dissociate,
or if trusting others feels difficult —
then it’s completely natural that your system might not go deep right away.

And I want to be clear: you are not resisting.
Your body simply has strategies to keep you safe.

What some might call “resistance” isn’t failure.
It’s your body saying, “I’m protecting you.”

That protective mechanism is wise. It’s the same inner intelligence that has kept you alive through every challenging experience.

Every Experience is Perfectly Aligned

For some people, the QHHT experience feels light — they remain aware the whole time, almost as if they’re watching themselves in a relaxed meditation.

For others, the nervous system has learned that the safest thing to do is stay vigilant. For those individuals, surrendering deeply simply isn’t possible yet — and that’s okay.

Every session unfolds exactly as it needs to.

Sometimes the first experience — or even the first few — are less about “going deep” and more about building safety and trust:

  • Safety within your own body.

  • Trust in your inner world.

  • And trust in me as your guide.

That sense of safety becomes the doorway to deeper states in future sessions.

The Role of Trust in Deep Trance States

In my experience, the clients who go into the deepest levels of trance — where the conscious mind fully steps aside and they have no memory of the session — are often those I’ve worked with several times.

There’s a depth of trust that’s been cultivated over time — both in our connection and within themselves.

It’s through that safety and relational trust that the body finally says, “It’s okay to let go now.”

Your Body is Wise

If you ever walk away from a session thinking, “It didn’t work,” please know:
Your body worked perfectly.

It protected you until it knew it was safe enough to release control. That’s not a block. It’s wisdom — the very same wisdom that will guide you, step by step, into deeper healing when the time is right.

In Closing

QHHT is not about forcing, performing, or achieving a specific depth. It’s about meeting your inner world exactly where it is — with gentleness, curiosity, and compassion.

Every layer of trust you build within yourself is a step closer to the doorway of profound healing and soul connection.
